First Snow!

We got an unusually early first snow this year. We didn't get a ton of accumulation down where we live, but at higher elevations there was a lot more.  Noah was not particularly impressed, maybe next year :)

Milano

This past weekend we decided to go to Milan. Given we decided on Friday to go on Saturday, we were limited in terms of trains (the best times were sold out), so it really turned out to be 24 hours in Milan. Nonetheless, we managed to have some yummy food, see the Duomo, and do some shopping!

Gotta love dog-friendly hotels!

We weren't the only ones who got hungry at this restaurant!
The Duomo- 4th largest Cathedral in the world! It took over 500 years to build and it is incredible!

Auntie Jennie & Exploring

My best friend Jenn arrived last Tuesday! It was so wonderful to see her and introduce her officially to baby Noah.

Jenn's husband came to meet her in Zurich later in the week on his way home from a business trip in the Philippines. Before he got here, though, we did a bit of touring. Noah was a good little travel companion.

We went to check out Einseldeln, a town in which there is a monastery and a lovely church with an apparently famous 'Black Madonna.' Unfortunately they didn't allow photos inside the church so you will just have to google it if you want to see what it looks like.

That evening when we got back to Zürich, we had a great view of the mountains.

The next day we went to Rhein Falls.

Then went to check out a town near the border of Germany called Stein Am Rhein. The buildings are very cute and quaint.
